LifeGroups

This fall as we as a church move into another season of LifeGroups, our vision is to wrestle through the organizational expression of the organics of word, prayer, fellowship, and sacraments. We are going to find our rhythm. It might take a while and it might be painful. But, we believe in these God given movements as life sources for His church. For more info go here.

The Details

Please click the above "Events" tab for a link to the calendar that will contain logistical information specific to each gathering. The following is some details about each group meeting:


LG North

Locations: Rotating (look at "Events" tab to get weekly details)

Time: 6 - 8 pm

Kids: Kids are welcome, adults will share duties caring for the kids.

LG South

Locations: Fassett's

Time: 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Kids: We share a meal and sometimes the kids are included in the Word and Prayer. Anything goes... a great experience for "no kid" people to get exposed to "life on the fly" ( joey@mdchurch.org ).

Sunday LG

Locations: Reed's

Time: 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Kids: No meal... but a good chance there is goodies! Not a great place to bring young kids, but if they are old enough to participate, all are welcome. Contact Rob Reed for information ( mr.rob.reed@gmail.com ).

LifeGroup Format

The last hour and a half of each LifeGroup gathering will be focused on word and prayer. Each LifeGroup will spend time actively listening to the word and then will devote time to prayer.

Prior to beginning the reading, each group will have an opportunity for fellowship, a meal or other activities that will be determined by the host and the group facilitators.

Present Ministries

ESL

The vision for the ESL LifeGroup is to integrate into the ESL system here in Portland, as well as provide different social bases activities so that the students have a more social setting to learn English. This Group meets Every Wednesday for dinner and them goes to their ESL class at 7PM.
