Soul Soup

The Soul Soup LG has been initiated by Ethan and Stacey Smith as a means of providing a point of contact for people who are looking to connect at and around the community of Missio Dei.

The group will focus on two things: Providing a monthly Soup Day for the church and greater community, as well as spending time at The North Star Cafe for open mic night and the Maine Singer Songwriter Association spotlight on Thursday evenings.

Worship Arts LifeGroup

The Worship Arts LifeGroup will meet every Sunday from 4-8 PM. From 4-8 the group will share a meal and chat life and how that intersects with being worshipers. From 6-8, the group will beak apart and some will focus on music and rehearsal. This is an open group and does not exclude those who do not play and instrument.

The WIT Group

WIT stands for Women in Transition. This LifeGroup is focusing on the basic needs facing the family and WIT in particular. The group is spearheaded by The Eubanks and Silva's and meets at random times mostly on the weekends. The group will be planning several different family based events throughout the winter to help start a "Fresh Start Fund" for women in transition associated with The Crisis Family Center. Luv Kids

The Luv Kids LifeGroup is being pioneered by Rob and Jessi Woodman. The focus of the group is on the needs of children in our community, the needs that parents have in rearing them, and the practice burdens facing a church with a lot of children. Because they are our future, we want to do all we can to love the well. For more info on this group please contact Rob. AND no, you don't need to have children to be in this group.

The Luv Kids LifeGroup meets on Wednesdays at Rob and Jessi's home.

ESL LifeGroup

The vision for the ESL LifeGroup is to integrate into the ESL system here in Portland, as well as provide different social bases activities so that the students have a more social setting to learn English. This Group meets Every Wednesday for dinner and them goes to their ESL class at 7PM.
