"Life" in the Gospel of John
From now until Easter (April 9) we will be spending our time together in the Gospel of John, specifically considering the theme of "life." Questions about meaning, purpose, and flourishing are prominent in our culture today, and Jesus stated himself that he came that we might have "abundant life" (John 10.10). Furthermore, John himself wrote at the end of his Gospel account that he put these things down precisely so that we might "believe, and that by believing have life in his name." (John 20.31) What might it look like for us to experience the abundant life Jesus promised was available to us? My prayer is that God will bring a newness of life to us this season as we journey through the Gospel of John together.
