Our new sermon series begins May 1, 2022:

The Book of Exodus...our next sermon series
a note about the sermon series from pastor Joel Wentz:

Our next preaching/teaching series (beginning in May) will be through the first section of the book of Exodus. We will be following the narrative of the Israelite's oppression in Egypt and enslavement under Pharaoh, God's raising up of Moses, and of course God's dramatic rescue of the Israelite people through signs, wonders and eventual escape through Passover and through the waters of the Red Sea (chapters 1-15 of Exodus). This is a rich story, and it is a formative event for the people of God in the overarching narrative of the scriptures. Throughout the remainder of the Old Testament, God frequently reminds the Israelites that he was the one who "brought them out of Egypt," and the Israelites would forever commemorate this event through rituals like Passover (which Jesus himself shared with the disciples right before his own death). I'm really looking forward to spending time in this story together this Spring/Summer, and I encourage you to read Exodus 1-15 on your own (or as a family) as we prepare to dive in together. Pray for our whole community, as well as the preaching team specifically, as we look to hear from God through the story of the Exodus.
